Authorized Fender Dealer in Glens Falls, NY

Paul's Guitar Hideout is an authorized Fender dealer in downtown Glens Falls, on the second floor of The Shirt Factory at 71 Lawrence St. On the wall as of October 25, 2026: Squier Mini, Sonic, Affinity and Classic Vibe; Fender Standard, Player II and Vintera III electrics; Fender acoustics, including the Acoustasonic Standard Telecaster; Squier and Fender basses; and Fender amps. A new Fender or Squier bought here carries Fender's two-year limited warranty for the original buyer.

Look magazine called Glens Falls "Hometown U.S.A." back in 1944, and the downtown still runs on that: a walkable main street, the Hyde, Harding Mazzotti Arena, and now a guitar shop on the second floor of the old shirt mill on Lawrence Street. Why Buy Your Fender From an Authorized Dealer

Fender's two-year limited warranty covers a new Fender or Squier only when it's bought from an authorized Fender dealer, and only for the original buyer, so keep the receipt. We're an authorized dealer, so a new Fender or Squier from our wall carries it. A used Fender, including one from our wall, doesn't.

The warranty covers new electric guitars and basses, acoustic guitars, and amps (amp tubes for 90 days). There's no warranty registration: Fender doesn't register warranties, and your receipt is the proof. On guitars and basses, it doesn't cover setups and adjustments, fret, nut and saddle wear, strings, or finish and wood damage from temperature and humidity. If something goes wrong with a new Fender you bought here, start with us, and we'll help sort out whether a return, exchange, repair or warranty claim makes sense.

Player II

Player II is Fender's current modern-spec line: a Modern "C" neck with a satin back, a 9.5-inch fingerboard with rolled edges, 22 medium jumbo frets and Alnico V pickups. On the wall now: a Player II Stratocaster on a chambered ash body, a Player II Jazzmaster, and a Player II Modified Telecaster with Noiseless pickups, a series/parallel switch and a deluxe gig bag.

Vintera III

Vintera III chases vintage-spec voicings: Strats, Teles and Jazzmasters built with vintage-style pickups and hardware. Play a Player II next to a Vintera III and the difference is audible. The differences you can measure: a 7.25-inch fingerboard radius instead of 9.5, vintage-tall frets instead of medium jumbo, and a gloss neck instead of satin. Squier

Classic Vibes are good guitars. The gap from Squier Affinity to Classic Vibe is larger than the gap from Classic Vibe to Player II. For a first electric or a second guitar for alternate tunings, a Classic Vibe Strat or Tele is often the right call at about half the price of a Player II. At the other end, the Squier Mini is a reduced-size guitar on a 22.75-inch scale, and Sonic, which Fender files with its beginner electrics, is the lowest-priced full-size Squier on our wall.

What Comes With It

Some Fenders come with more in the box. The Squier Affinity Stratocaster HSS Pack includes a Frontman 15G amp, a padded gig bag, a strap, a cable, picks and three months of Fender Play lessons. The CC-60S Concert Pack includes a gig bag, a strap, picks, spare strings and three months of Fender Play. Vintera III guitars and the Player II Modified Telecaster come with a deluxe gig bag. The Player II Stratocaster, Player II Jazzmaster and Fender Standard guitars don't include a bag or case, and we carry Fender gig bags.

Setups

New guitars come set to the manufacturer's factory spec. Depending on your playing style, you may want a setup that's different from that spec, and we can do it: $79 standard, $109 deluxe (the one we usually recommend) or $99 specialty for Floyd Rose, 12-string and classical, strings extra. Service is first come, first served.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up.

Glens Falls is a bustling little city that's growing more and more every day: lots of culture, food and natural beauty. The Shirt Factory is the heart of the East End arts district.

A: Yes. Call or text within 7 days of purchase or delivery, before you bring or send it back. For a full refund it has to come back the way it left: clean, unmodified, with the original packaging and everything it came with. Q: Which amp should a beginner start with?
A: Fender points beginners to the Frontman 10G and the Mustang LT25, and both are on the wall. For bass, the Rumble 15 is Fender's compact 15-watt practice amp.
