The Newporter CE is the slope-shoulder body in the California Deluxe line, with a cutaway and a Fishman CD-1 preamp with a built-in tuner. Fender gives it a solid Sitka spruce top over laminated mahogany back and sides, scalloped X bracing and a Jaguar headstock.
The cutaway opens up the upper frets, and the sealed split-shaft tuners hold tuning through a long set. 25.5 inch scale, slim C mahogany neck, 12 inch radius walnut board, Micarta nut and saddle.
