How It Works
Bring the instrument in and Paul looks it over. He can check the pickups, the electronics and anything else you want checked, date it where the serial and its features allow, and tell you what's original: the electronics, the hardware, and any repairs done to it. Then, based on his experience and current market trends and conditions, he works out a realistic value.
What You Get
A written appraisal, signed by Paul, that identifies the instrument by make, model and serial number and states both its current market value and its replacement value, so you have documentation for insurance or whatever else you need it for.
Appraisals run up to $149, depending on the instrument. Dating a guitar from its serial number and features costs nothing on its own.

Where We Are
We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. The easiest place to park is the Cooper Street lot.
