Route 9 south out of the village, ten minutes into Glens Falls. The Shirt Factory is on the left as you come into downtown, Cooper Street entrance.
Whether you're staying at the lake and your guitar needs attention, or you're local with a guitar that's out of whack from winter dry air, it's a 10-minute drive south on Route 9.
Where We Are
We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up.
Lake George is the village at the south end of the lake, a summer town of about a thousand people the rest of the year, and the first place inside the Adirondack Park north of Queensbury.
What We Have
Used electric guitars, acoustic guitars, and basses on the floor. New Fender, Squier, and Martin guitars as an authorized dealer. Strings, picks, cables, and accessories. Repairs and Setups
We do guitar repair and setups at the shop. Fret work, electronics, nut replacement, tuner replacement, pickup installation. The bench's work is documented publicly in the Repair Vault. Most common thing we see from Lake George players is a camp acoustic that swung through a humidity cycle without setup attention. A setup runs $79 and makes a real difference in how the guitar plays.
