Whether you're up at Lake George and your guitar needs attention, or you're local with a guitar that's out of whack from winter dry air, it's a 10-minute drive south on Route 9.
Where We Are
We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 19th century textile mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If you need assistance, give us a call and we'll come down.
What's on the Floor
Inventory varies week to week — used guitars come in on trade, get evaluated and set up, and go on the wall when ready. The brands listed below are what's typically here, not a guaranteed list. Call or check the site for what's in stock today.
Fender, Gibson, Martin, Yamaha, Squier, Epiphone, Takamine, and more. Used electrics, acoustics, and basses.

Before you commit: used guitar buying checklist.
Two Seasons at the Lake
Lake George moves through the shop in two seasons. In spring, guitars come down from places that weren't heated or kept stable all winter. The tops have dried out, the action has climbed, sometimes the bridge has shifted. Some get a setup and go back with their owners. Some come in for sale. In summer, the walk-in is different: someone on vacation wants something to play at the lake for the week. Usually an acoustic, usually under a few hundred dollars, usually something they're not afraid to leave leaning against a porch wall. We keep entry-level acoustics on the floor year-round with exactly that in mind.
Bringing a Guitar Down to Sell
If you're cleaning out a camp and found an old guitar, call or text first at (518) 217-8695, or bring it in during shop hours. We'll usually have a number for you before you leave. If you want to figure out value before you come: how much is my guitar worth.
Before the Purchase: the Climate Note
If you're buying an acoustic to live at a lake camp, the humidity is real. Acoustics at camps without humidity control develop issues fast. A setup in spring catches most of what the winter did. More: how humidity affects your guitar.
