Adirondack Guitar Shop: Paul's Guitar Hideout in Glens Falls, NY
Paul's Guitar Hideout is a guitar shop in Glens Falls, NY, the gateway to the Adirondacks. Used guitars, new Fender and Martin, repairs, setups, and lessons. We're at the southern foothills of the Park, here to serve players across the region.
Where We Are
We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 19th century textile mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If you need assistance, give us a call and we'll come down.
Serving the Adirondacks
Players come in from across the Adirondacks: Lake George, Bolton Landing, Warrensburg, Chestertown, Schroon Lake, Ticonderoga, and beyond. Wednesday through Sunday, 12–5pm.
The Climate and Your Guitar
The Adirondack climate is hard on guitars, especially acoustics. Heated camps and seasonal homes drop humidity fast in winter — acoustics left without a humidifier crack. Tops sink. Fret ends feel sharp by February. We see it every spring. Most of the damage is preventable with a humidifier and a case. Background: why Upstate NY is harder on guitars than most players realize.
Summer runs the other direction. High humidity, wood swells, action climbs. A guitar that played fine in May may feel stiff by August.
If your guitar has been through an Adirondack season without attention, a setup is almost always the first thing it needs. See The Adirondack Guitar Player's Seasonal Maintenance Checklist for the full breakdown.
Repairs
We do guitar repair in-house. Fret work, electronics, nut replacement, tuner replacement, structural repairs. No appointment needed to drop off.
Guitar Lessons

New and Used Guitars
Used electrics, acoustics, and basses on the floor. New Fender and Martin as authorized dealer. Call ahead if you're coming in from the Park for something specific. Inventory changes.
