Look magazine called Glens Falls "Hometown U.S.A." back in 1944, and the downtown still runs on that: a walkable main street, the Hyde, the Civic Center, and now a guitar shop on the second floor of the old shirt mill on Lawrence Street. If you're already downtown, we're a five-minute walk from Glen Street.
Where We Are
We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 1902 shirt mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.
Strings We Stock
Electric, acoustic, and bass sets from D'Addario, Ernie Ball, and Martin, in light through medium gauges. We also keep banjo, mandolin, and ukulele sets on the wall, all D'Addario. If you play something we don't stock strings for, we can usually order them.
Restrings
A restring is $25 for guitar or bass, $35 for a 12-string or mandolin, and $40 for a classical or a locking tremolo. Service is first come, first served. Need it back by a certain date? Let us know at drop-off and we'll do our best to accommodate. If the guitar hasn't been set up in a while, a setup ($79) includes fresh strings.

We're downtown. Park in the Cooper Street lot at The Shirt Factory and take the Cooper Street entrance up to the second floor.
