Why Buy Seymour Duncan From an Authorized Dealer

Seymour Duncan gives the original purchaser a one-year limited warranty on labor and materials from the day of purchase, for a pickup bought new from an authorized Seymour Duncan dealer or from the factory. It asks for proof of purchase, it repairs or replaces at its option, and it's void if the pickup has been modified, with changing the wire set-up and removing the tape from a pickup named as examples. Pickups that qualify for Seymour Duncan's 21 Day Exchange program are covered by it, and the product page says which; Custom Shop pickups, which includes the Antiquity, aren't. What's on the Wall

Every Seymour Duncan pickup in stock, with the price, straight from the store: the humbuckers, the Strat and Tele sets, and any used Seymour Duncan pieces that have come in.

The Humbuckers

The JB is the hot one: a wind with an upper-midrange bump on an alnico 5 bar, about 16.6k, full low end, crisp highs, four-conductor lead for split and parallel wiring. The Seth Lover set is the original humbucker as Seth Lover drew it: alnico 2, a low vintage wind, un-potted covers, the neck about 7.4k and the bridge about 8.3k. The Antiquity set is the Custom Shop's aged P.A.F.: the alnico 2 magnets weakened the way decades of playing would, the covers aged to match, no potting.

The Single-Coil Sets

Both Quarter Pound sets put quarter-inch alnico 5 pole pieces under the strings, a lot more magnet than stock, with the output to match. The Quarter Pound Strat set has more than twice the output of a standard Strat single-coil, a reverse-wound middle so positions 2 and 4 cancel hum, and flatwork that drops into a standard pickguard. The Quarter Pound Tele set carries Seymour Duncan's highest-output Tele single-coil in the bridge, with a growl closer to a P-90.

Pickup Installs

We install them. An electric pickup install is $69 for one, $99 for two and $129 for three, parts extra. A push-pull pot or a coil-split switch is its own line: a control pot is $39 plus parts and a pickup selector $49 plus parts. It's a converted 1902 shirt mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up.
