Mandolin bridges aren't glued down — string tension is the only thing holding them in place — so take all eight strings off at once and the bridge moves, and the intonation goes with it. That's most of the mandolins we see.
Why Mandolin Setup Is Its Own Job
A mandolin bridge isn't fixed to the top. It's held in place by string tension, and its exact position sets the intonation for all eight strings. Fitting one means shaping the bridge feet to match the arch of the top, then finding the spot where the pairs ring true up the neck. That's why bridge fitting is priced as its own service and includes a deluxe setup.

We keep D'Addario mandolin strings on the wall: EJ73 phosphor bronze light and EJ74 phosphor bronze medium. If your mandolin needs a part we don't stock, we can usually order it.
