Used Guitars in Glens Falls, NY
Paul's Guitar Hideout carries used guitars across electrics, acoustics, and basses. It's the only dedicated guitar shop in Glens Falls itself. Every used guitar gets set up on the bench before it goes on the wall, and the bench's work is documented publicly in the Repair Vault.
Look magazine called Glens Falls "Hometown U.S.A." back in 1944, and the downtown still runs on that: a walkable main street, the Hyde, the Civic Center, and now a guitar shop on the second floor of the old shirt mill on Lawrence Street. If you're already downtown, we're a five-minute walk from Glen Street.
Where We Are
We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 1902 shirt mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.
What's on the Floor
Inventory varies week to week — used guitars come in on trade, get evaluated and set up, and go on the wall when ready. The brands listed below are what's typically here, not a guaranteed list. Call or check the site for what's in stock today.
Fender, Gibson, Martin, Yamaha, Squier, and more. Used electrics, acoustics, and basses. What's on the wall right now: used guitars.
Browse used electrics, used acoustics, and used basses.
Before you commit: used guitar buying checklist.
Already own something cheap and wondering whether to put money into it instead: upgrading a cheap guitar: what's worth it.
Pricing
We check what these guitars are actually going for on Reverb, eBay, and similar, and price accordingly. If you're selling something and want to know what to expect: how much is my guitar worth.
Vintage
When something vintage comes through, it goes in the vintage collection. For the pickup-authentication side of vintage electrics: how to tell if a vintage Fender's pickups are original, how to tell if a vintage Gibson's pickups are original.
