Lesson Policy
This is how lessons work at Paul's Guitar Hideout: when they run, how to pay, how to cancel or move one, what happens with a missed lesson, and what to bring.
Lesson Times
Lessons are one-on-one with Travis Gray at the shop, 30 minutes for $40 or 60 minutes for $80. Lessons run:
- Monday to Friday: 9:30 AM to 2 PM
- Monday to Friday: 3 to 8 PM
- Sunday: 11 AM to 3 PM
Those are the hours lessons end by, so the last bookings are 1:30 and 7:30 on weekdays and 2:30 on Sunday. These times can change with availability. Book with the book a lesson form, or call or text (518) 217-8695.
The shop is closed on Monday and Tuesday, but lessons still run those days. Come up and meet Travis at the shop.
Paying for Lessons
Paying is flexible: at the lesson, ahead of time, or for a block of lessons, whatever works for you.
Cancellations
We need 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a lesson. A lesson cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice is paid in full. Need to move one on short notice? Reach out: if Travis can make the new time work, there's no charge; if he can't, the lesson is paid in full. Call or text (518) 217-8695, or reply to the reminder text we send the day before.
Missed Lessons
A missed lesson is paid in full. Exceptions are at our discretion.
Running Late
If you're running late, the lesson still ends at its scheduled time.
Kids and Parents
Lessons start at age 10, and parents are welcome to sit in.

Bring your instrument and come prepared to take notes.

A Note on Cancellations
Our teachers are independent contractors. They plan their week, and their income, around the lessons that are booked at the store. We understand that things happen, and we try to be accommodating. A lesson cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice is paid in full. This cancellation policy is how we take care of our teachers, and how we make sure we can keep offering lessons from the very best.
Paul's Guitar Hideout is located at The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, NY. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.
