Guitar Shop Near Washington County, NY

Paul's Guitar Hideout is in Glens Falls, just across the county line from Washington County. Players come in from Greenwich, Fort Edward, Hudson Falls, Granville, and across the county for repairs, setups, used guitars, and lessons. Authorized Fender and Martin dealer. No appointment needed.

The county line is the Hudson. Cross at Fort Edward or Hudson Falls and you're in Glens Falls in ten minutes; from Greenwich or Cambridge it's closer to thirty.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.

Washington County is the farm county next door to the east, long and narrow, running down the Vermont line from Lake Champlain to the Batten Kill, with the county seat in Fort Edward.

Used guitars across electrics, acoustics, and basses. New Fender and Martin as authorized dealer. Strings, picks, cables, capos, and the accessories people actually come in for. Repairs and Setups

We do guitar repair and setups in-house. The bench's work is documented publicly in the Repair Vault. Washington County players deal with the same climate as everyone else in the region: dry heated winters that move necks, raise or drop action, and leave fret ends feeling sharp by February. Most of that is a setup problem, not a repair problem. A standard setup is $79 and it's usually all a guitar needs after a hard winter. There's more in how humidity affects your guitar.

Service is first come, first served. Need it back by a certain date? Let us know at drop-off and we'll do our best to accommodate. Structural work takes longer.
