Student Resources
Guides for guitar students and their parents, from Paul's Guitar Hideout in Glens Falls, NY. Lessons at the shop are one-on-one with Travis Gray of Wild Adriatic. These guides cover the questions that actually come up, from the shop where the lessons happen.
They cover whether to take lessons or teach yourself, how long learning guitar actually takes, and what the first lesson and the first month look like, for kids and for adult beginners. There are guides on building a practice routine, on getting more out of each lesson, and on when a beginner's guitar needs a setup. High action is the most common reason new players think guitar is harder than it should be, and it's almost always fixable.
