Vacationing at the lake with a guitar that's stopped cooperating? Locals with a winter-shocked acoustic? Either way it's a 10-minute drive south on Route 9.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 19th century textile mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If you need assistance, give us a call and we'll come down.

Setups

Standard setup is $79. Specialty setups (Floyd Rose, 12-string, classical) are $99. A setup covers truss rod, action at the nut and saddle, intonation, fretboard conditioning, and fresh strings.

Repairs

Fret leveling and dressing, refrets, nut replacement, saddle work, tuner replacement, electronics (pickup swaps, wiring, pot and jack replacement), bridge reglue on acoustics, crack repair.

We look at the guitar with you, explain what we see, give you a number before anything starts. No surprise charges. Not sure if it's worth repairing? How to know if a guitar is worth repairing.

Camp-Guitar Work

Acoustics that spent a season in an unheated or intermittently-heated camp often need more than a setup. Tops crack, bridges lift, glue joints separate. Bring it in — we diagnose at intake and tell you whether it's a clean setup or a bigger job before anything is decided. Background on the cycle: why Upstate NY is harder on guitars than most players realize.

The Drive

10 minutes south on Route 9. Second floor, Cooper Street entrance. Parking in the Cooper Street lot. If you can't manage the stairs, call when you arrive and we'll come down.
