The Drive
Lake George is the village at the south end of the lake, a summer town of about a thousand people the rest of the year, and the first place inside the Adirondack Park north of Queensbury.
About 10 minutes south on Route 9 or I-87 (Exit 18). Park in the Cooper Street lot at The Shirt Factory.
The JC-40 for Gigs
Roland calls the JC-40 a small, gig-ready combo: the JC-120's clean sound at 40 watts, from two independent power amps into two 10-inch speakers in stereo. The front panel takes a stereo input, so a modeler or stereo pedals come through both speakers without a second amp. The chorus, vibrato, reverb and distortion are on board, and the chorus/vibrato, the reverb and the distortion each have a footswitch jack for an optional Boss footswitch. Around back: a stereo effects loop, series or parallel, stereo line outs and a headphone jack.

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up.
