Guitar Lessons Near Lake George, NY

Paul's Guitar Hideout is 10 minutes south of Lake George on Route 9. Guitar lessons with Travis Gray of Wild Adriatic. Year-round for local residents, schedulable around the summer season for camp families.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 19th century textile mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If you need assistance, give us a call and we'll come down.

Who's Teaching

Travis Gray of Wild Adriatic fame teaches here. Reach out through the contact page to book. Full background on his instructor page.

How Lessons Work

Travis listens to what you want and builds a plan for it. He'll work on the songs you actually want to play, the foundation underneath them, technique, riffs, songwriting, getting ready to perform — whatever the goal is. The first session is about where you're starting and where you want to go.

Practice at home between lessons matters more than lesson length. See how to build a guitar practice routine or how to get the most out of guitar lessons.

Summer Visitors and Year-Round Residents

Families up at a camp for a few weeks can schedule lessons across the stay. Year-round Lake George residents can book standing lessons. Either way, tell us the window when you reach out and we'll work it out.

Before the First Lesson

If you need a guitar, come in first. New and used options across a wide range. A $79 setup on the guitar before lessons start removes the biggest reason beginners get frustrated — high action making clean fretting hard.
