Description
The Precision Bass split-coil pickup is the sound most people picture when they picture bass on a record, and the late '60s version is that design fully settled.
Vintera III is Fender's current run of period-correct reissues, built to a single era rather than one modern spec in a vintage finish. Alder body, Late '60s "C" maple neck, round-laminated rosewood fingerboard with aged-white pearloid dots, 7.25 inch radius, 20 vintage tall frets, 34 inch scale, bone nut at 1.625 inches. One vintage-style late '60s split single-coil into master volume and master tone, over a 4-saddle vintage bridge with threaded steel saddles. Vintage-style lollipop tuners.
Where a Jazz Bass gives you a blend and a narrower nut, the P gives you one voice and commits to it. That is the whole appeal, and it is why it still sits in most mixes without any argument.
Firemist Gold with a 3-ply parchment pickguard. New from Fender. Comes with the deluxe gig bag.
