Paul's Guitar Hideout in Glens Falls is an authorized Fender dealer at the southern gateway to the Adirondack region. Players come in from Lake George, Warrensburg, Chestertown, Bolton Landing, Schroon Lake, Ticonderoga, and points further north.

Glens Falls has called itself the Gateway to the Adirondacks for a century, and it still is: Exit 18 is the last real town before the park. Anyone coming down 87 from Schroon Lake, Chestertown, or North Creek passes us on the way to anything else.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.

The Adirondacks start at the top of Queensbury: six million acres, the largest park in the contiguous United States, a hundred-odd towns and villages inside it, and Glens Falls is the city in the foothills at the bottom.

Fender Acoustics

The CD-60S is one of Fender's most popular acoustics: a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and an easy neck with a rolled fingerboard. What's on the Wall

On the wall as of November 6, 2026: Squier Mini, Squier Sonic, Squier Affinity, Squier Classic Vibe, Fender Standard, Player II, Vintera III and Fender acoustics, 35 new Fender and Squier guitars from $199.99 to $1,249.99, and 8 new basses.

Three Squier tiers on the wall: Sonic for a first electric, Affinity a step up, Classic Vibe at the top. On the Fender side, Fender Standard alongside Player II and Vintera III. Fender acoustics too: CD-60 and CC-60 dreadnought and concert models, a CN-60 nylon-string, and an acoustic bass.

Cabin Electrics

Electric guitars handle Adirondack conditions far better than acoustics. Temperature swings affect tuning and can loosen hardware, but the structural damage a dry winter does to an acoustic doesn't happen to a solidbody electric. A cabin Fender needs a once-a-year setup when you bring it down.

New Fenders come set to Fender's factory spec, and a setup fits the guitar to how you play: string gauge, action, relief. We can do one before you take it home; prices are on the setup page.

Upgrading From a Squier

If you've been playing a Squier for a while and want to step up: the gap from Affinity to Classic Vibe is bigger than the gap from Classic Vibe to Player II. What the price difference actually gets you.
