Where We Are
We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 19th century textile mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If you need assistance, give us a call and we'll come down.
What's on the Wall
We regularly stock Player II Stratocasters and Telecasters. Vintera III for vintage-spec voicings. Jazzmasters, Jaguars, and Mustangs come through regularly. Player II and Player Plus Precision and Jazz basses. Squier Classic Vibe and Affinity across the range.
Inventory rotates weekly. Check the site or call if you need something specific. Vintage Fender buyers: how to tell if a vintage Fender's pickups are original.
Cabin Electrics
Electric guitars handle Adirondack conditions far better than acoustics. Temperature swings affect tuning and can loosen hardware, but the structural damage a dry winter does to an acoustic doesn't happen to a solidbody electric. A cabin Fender needs a once-a-year setup when you bring it down.
Setup
Every new Fender goes through intake before going on the floor. If you want a full setup to your specific preferences (string gauge, action, relief), we can do it before you take it home. $79 standard. For Adirondack customers making the drive, doing the setup same-day is often worth it.
Upgrading From a Squier
If you've been playing a Squier for a while and want to step up: the gap from Affinity to Classic Vibe is bigger than the gap from Classic Vibe to Player II. What the price difference actually gets you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a Fender dealer in the Adirondack Park?
A: We're at the southern gateway in Glens Falls, the closest authorized Fender dealer for most Adirondack residents.
Q: How long is the drive from Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, or Tupper Lake?
A: About 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on starting point.
Q: Can I get a new Fender set up before I take it home?
A: Yes. $79 standard setup, done to your preferences. Usually same visit or short turnaround.
Q: Will my cabin Fender survive the winters?
A: Electrics handle Adirondack conditions reasonably well. An annual setup in spring handles tuning and neck adjustments. Acoustics are a harder conversation. See how humidity affects your guitar.
