Used Guitars in the Adirondacks

Paul's Guitar Hideout in Glens Falls sits at the southern foothills of the Adirondack Park. We're a full-service used guitar shop here to serve the region — buying, selling, evaluating, and providing setup and repair work for players across the Adirondacks.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 19th century textile mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If you need assistance, give us a call and we'll come down.

What's Typically on the Floor

Inventory varies week to week — used guitars come in on trade, get evaluated and set up, and go on the wall when ready. The brands listed below are what's typically here, not a guaranteed list. Call or check the site for what's in stock today.

Fender, Gibson, Martin, Yamaha, Squier, Epiphone, Takamine, and more. Used electrics, acoustics, and basses.

Resources for the Region

We're at the southern foothills, two hours from Lake Placid and an hour and a half from places like Old Forge or Long Lake. If you're driving down from inside the Park, the trip is real, and we try to make it worth it. Repairs, setups, evaluations, used inventory, lessons, and the new Fender and Martin lines all under one roof. Call ahead with what you need so we can plan the visit.

Selling to Us From the Park

If you're cleaning out a camp or cabin and want a guitar looked at, call or text first at (518) 217-8695, or bring it in during shop hours. We'll usually have a number for you before you leave. See the sell your guitar page, or how much is my guitar worth if you want to figure out value before driving down.

Buying a Camp Guitar

Adirondack winters are hard on acoustics. Before committing to an acoustic that will live at a camp year-round, the humidity conversation matters. It applies to any acoustic, not just Martins. Electrics handle the climate better. More: how humidity affects your guitar.

Making the Drive

Call ahead or browse the site to see what's on the floor today. Some Park residents time the trip around a supply run to Glens Falls and handle the guitar decision, a setup, and anything else on the same day.
