Saratoga has Caffè Lena, open since 1960 and the oldest continuously operating folk music coffeehouse in the country. Bob Dylan played two nights there in 1961.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.

Saratoga is the big neighbor to the south: the track, SPAC and Broadway, a resort city for two hundred years and still growing, with the Northway running right alongside it.

The 16 Series

The 2026 16 Series pairs solid spruce tops in gloss colors with solid mahogany or East Indian rosewood back and sides. Every one has L.R. Baggs Element electronics and comes strung with Martin Lifespan 2.0 strings, in a softshell case. The ones in stock hang on the Martin 16 Series page. What's on the Wall

6 Standard Series Martins are on the wall as of November 6, 2026. Road Series models for more approachable price points. Occasional 15 Series all-mahogany guitars — warmer, drier voice.

If you're driving up from Saratoga for a specific model, call first and we'll hold it for you. If it's not on the floor, we can usually order it in from Martin.

Body Size

The biggest choice in a Martin purchase is body size, and it's the one a spec sheet can't decide for you. D-18 projects hard. 000 is tighter and fingerstyle-friendly. OM has the 000 body with a longer scale length. You figure out which fits you by playing them back to back. Plan an hour if you're seriously comparing.

Humidity

Every Martin that leaves here leaves with a humidity conversation. Upstate winters drop indoor humidity hard in January and February. A solid-wood top shrinks as it dries. Humidifier, hygrometer, above 45% in the case. Not optional, just part of owning the guitar in this climate. We sell the humidifiers and walk you through it at pickup. Authorized Dealer

We're an authorized Martin dealer, so a new Martin bought here carries Martin's Limited Lifetime Warranty for the original owner (one year on the Little Martin and Backpacker). The warranty doesn't transfer, so a used Martin doesn't carry it.
