Guitar Lessons Near Saratoga Springs, NY

Paul's Guitar Hideout is 30 minutes north of Saratoga Springs on I-87. One-on-one guitar lessons with Travis Gray of Wild Adriatic. He teaches beginners of all ages one-on-one at the shop. Northway north to Exit 18, about thirty minutes from Broadway. Left off the exit, straight into downtown Glens Falls, park in the Cooper Street lot.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.

Saratoga is the big neighbor to the south: the track, SPAC and Broadway, a resort city for two hundred years and still growing, with the Northway running right alongside it.

How Lessons Work

Travis listens to what you want and builds a plan for it. He'll work on the songs you actually want to play, the foundation underneath them, technique, riffs, songwriting, or getting ready to perform, whatever the goal is. The first session is about where you're starting and where you want to go.

Before Your First Lesson

If you need a guitar, come in first. We have new and used options across a wide range. A $79 setup on your existing guitar is often worth doing if it hasn't been looked at in a while. You can drop it off for one when you come in for your first lesson. See when a beginner should get a setup.
