Route 4 to Route 32 into downtown, five to ten minutes. Closest towns to the shop after Glens Falls itself.

The Drive

Hudson Falls is right next door to the east, over the line in Washington County: a village with a green in the middle of its business district and the Feeder Canal trail running through it. Fort Edward is down Route 4 from there, the county seat, where the Champlain Canal comes into the Hudson and the train still stops.

About 5 minutes over the Hudson. Park in the Cooper Street lot at The Shirt Factory.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.

Buying Used: Intonation

Play an open string, then the same note at the 12th fret harmonic and fretted. They should match. If they don't, intonation needs adjustment, which is usually fixable. It's on our used guitar buying checklist, the list we'd run through ourselves before buying anything.
