Guitar Cables Near Bolton Landing, NY

Guitar cables near Bolton Landing: Paul's Guitar Hideout is about 30 minutes south of Bolton Landing. Nearly forty cables from Ernie Ball, Fender, MXR, Pig Hog, and Strukture, $8.99 to $59.99, in a range of lengths.

9N down the west side of the lake to the village, then 87 south, about thirty minutes. Bolton is a summer town, and a guitar left in an unheated lake house over the winter comes out in spring with sharp fret ends and a dry top. Bring it down before it goes back up.

The Drive

Bolton Landing is a lake town inside the park, on the west shore of Lake George with the Schroon River on the far side of the town, the kind of place families have been coming back to for two hundred years.

About 30 minutes: 9N down the lake to Lake George village, then Route 9 or I-87 south to Glens Falls. Park in the Cooper Street lot at The Shirt Factory.

From the Wall: Pig Hog PHLSK3BK

Flat PVC jacket. Length 3 ft each. Connectors: 1/4" low-profile right angle, both ends. 2 cables. We carry the Pig Hog PHLSK3BK - Lil' Pigs Low Profile Patch Cables, 3 ft 2-Pack Black at $19.95.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.

Cables We Stock

The front room at Paul's Guitar Hideout in Glens Falls, NY: strings, cables and picks on the slatwall, pedals in the glass counter, and a leather couch under framed band posters

Ernie Ball, Fender, MXR, Pig Hog, and Strukture, from short patch lengths up to long stage runs, including coiled cables. A cable is the least expensive thing that fixes a crackling rig, so it's the first thing to swap.

When It's Not the Cable

If a new cable doesn't kill the crackle, the output jack usually will. Loose jacks are a repair we do constantly, and a quick one. Bring the guitar in and we'll check it. More on guitar repair.
