Paul's Guitar Hideout is about 45 minutes north of Albany on I-87. Used guitars, new Fender and Martin as authorized dealer, repair work, setups, and lessons. Every used guitar we take in gets detailed and set up before it goes on the wall, new strings included.

The used wall turns over weekly, and whatever's on it this week is on the site. Check before you drive; if it's there, it's worth the forty-five minutes.

The Drive

Albany is the capital, the big city at the bottom of the Northway, and we're the top of the same map: Glens Falls is the far north end of the Capital District.

About 45 minutes north on I-87. Park in the Cooper Street lot at The Shirt Factory.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. The building went up in 1902 as a men's shirt factory and made shirts until 1996. Today it's home to more than 70 studios, shops and galleries, and now a guitar shop. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.

Buying Used: Bridge and Nut Condition

The bridge should be flat against the top with no lifting. The nut should be intact with no cracked or missing slots. It's on our used guitar buying checklist, the list we'd run through ourselves before buying anything.
