Bass strings near Albany: Paul's Guitar Hideout is about 45 minutes north of Albany on I-87, open Wednesday–Sunday, 12–5 PM. In September 2026 we have nine bass sets on the wall from D'Addario and Ernie Ball, $21.99 to $49.99: four- and five-string sets in short, long and super long scale. A bass restring is $25 plus the strings.

Where We Are
We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 1902 shirt mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.
Restrings and Setups
A bass restring is $25 plus the strings. Strings and parts are always extra, and you're welcome to bring your own. Service is first come, first served. Need it back by a certain date? Let us know at drop-off and we'll do our best to accommodate. A standard setup is $79 and a deluxe setup is $109, for electric, acoustic, or bass, strings extra.
