Bass Strings

Bass strings in Glens Falls, from $21.99 (September 2026): D'Addario and Ernie Ball sets for four- and five-string basses, in short, long and super long scale. Every set but one is nickel-plated steel roundwound; the exception is D'Addario's ECB81 XL Chromes flatwound.

Check your scale before you buy. D'Addario says to measure from where the ball end sits in the bridge to the top of the nut and pick a set that tapers just after the nut. Standard Fender basses are 34-inch scale and take long-scale sets.
