From the Wall: The Katana-50 Gen 3

The Katana-50 Gen 3 is a modeling amp that behaves like a tube amp under the fingers, and the power control is why it works at home and on a stage: the same sound at half a watt as at fifty. Fifty watts, Class AB, one 12-inch speaker, six amp characters, Acoustic, Clean, Pushed, Crunch, Lead and Brown, each with a variation, five effect sections with a tap button, four tone memories, and the Boss Tone Studio app for editing. We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 1902 shirt mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.

The Drive

Warren County is one city, eleven towns and a lot of forest: Glens Falls in the southeast corner, Queensbury with the county offices, then Lake George, Warrensburg, Bolton and the rest of the park going north.

Glens Falls sits at the southern edge of the county. From Lake George it's about 15 minutes; from Warrensburg about 20; from Bolton Landing about 30. Park in the Cooper Street lot at The Shirt Factory.
