From the Wall: The AFX Pro EQ Mini

The AFX Pro EQ Mini does the preamp and EQ half of the Platinum Pro's job in a box 1.9 inches wide. Fishman voiced it from the Platinum series: a high-impedance instrument preamp that conditions a passive or active pickup, four bands of tone control, bass, mid, treble and brilliance, a sweepable low cut for the thump an acoustic body puts into a PA, and a hold on the footswitch that flips the output polarity to fight feedback. It runs on Fishman's 910R adapter, sold separately.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 1902 shirt mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.

The Drive

Warren County is one city, eleven towns and a lot of forest: Glens Falls in the southeast corner, Queensbury with the county offices, then Lake George, Warrensburg, Bolton and the rest of the park going north.

Glens Falls sits at the southern edge of the county. From Lake George it's about 15 minutes; from Warrensburg about 20; from Bolton Landing about 30. Park in the Cooper Street lot at The Shirt Factory.
