The Katana is a modeling amp that behaves like a tube amp under the fingers, which is the reason it sells, and the power control is why it works at home and on a stage: the same sound at half a watt as at fifty. Gen 3 refines the Tube Logic response and adds a Pushed character for edge-of-breakup playing.
50 watts, Class AB, one 12 inch speaker. Six amp characters, Acoustic, Clean, Pushed, Crunch, Lead and Brown, each with a variation, five effect sections with a tap button, two tone memories plus the panel, a master and a three-band EQ, and the Boss Tone Studio app for remote editing.
