The Tone Master Pro is Fender's guitar workstation: amp models, effects, cabinet impulse responses and a looper in one floor unit. It carries more than 100 amp and effect models, among them the Tone Master Fender amps and an officially licensed EVH 5150 III Stealth, plus over 6,000 cabinet IRs Fender captured with a range of mics, and it loads third-party IRs as well.
A 7-inch color touchscreen shows the whole signal chain. Each of the ten footswitches has its own small LCD label and a built-in knob, so a parameter can be changed from the floor, and presets group into Songs and Setlists. Fender gives it four effects loops for pedals or rack gear, two of them balanced and pairable for stereo, an XLR combo input with phantom power for a microphone, balanced stereo outputs, a stereo headphone jack, a 60-second stereo looper, USB-C for recording and the Pro Control app, and Bluetooth for streaming audio from a phone. Questions
Can I use my own pedals with it?
Yes. It has four effects loops. Loops 1 and 2 are mono and unbalanced; loops 3 and 4 are balanced TRS and can be combined into a stereo pair for rack or stereo effects.
Can I plug a microphone into it?
Yes. The combo input takes an XLR mic, with +48 V phantom power on the XLR side, or a 1/4-inch TRS line source.
Does it take an expression pedal?
Yes, two. There are jacks for Expression Pedal 1 and 2, and Fender lists the Mission Engineering SP1-TMP as compatible, sold separately.
