From the Wall: The TU-3

The TU-3 has been the stage tuner since 2009 for reasons that aren't exotic: the 21-segment meter reads from across a stage, the housing survives, and the output mutes so you tune in silence. A High Brightness mode is for outdoor stages, the chromatic and guitar/bass modes take flat tunings, and an Accu-Pitch sign confirms when the note lands. Its DC out powers other pedals from one adapter through the optional PCS-20A cable, and the buffer at the front of a board is the second job it does.

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 1902 shirt mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. Clifton Park is the big Northway suburb at the bottom of Saratoga County, the largest town in the county, twelve miles up from Albany, and a place that mostly grew up after the highway came through.
