Platinum Pro or AFX Pro EQ Mini

Both are Fishman preamps for an acoustic pickup, and the difference is what else is in the box. The Platinum Pro EQ has a five-band EQ, a compressor, a tuner, a notch filter and phase switch, and a balanced XLR D.I., in a pedal that weighs 1.4 pounds. The AFX Pro EQ Mini is the preamp and a four-band EQ with a sweepable low cut and a polarity flip on the footswitch, in a 1.9-inch-wide aluminum box with true bypass or a buffered option. Going straight into a PA, the Platinum Pro's D.I. is the deciding feature.

Where We Are

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 1902 shirt mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. The Drive

Clifton Park is the big Northway suburb at the bottom of Saratoga County, the largest town in the county, twelve miles up from Albany, and a place that mostly grew up after the highway came through.

About 40 minutes north on I-87, Exit 9 to Exit 18. Park in the Cooper Street lot at The Shirt Factory.
