This is the first DIG, the five-knob original. Strymon has since replaced it with the six-knob V2, which keeps the same delay sounds and adds a Tone knob, MIDI and USB. It runs two delays at once, with three voicings to pick from: two from 1980s digital rack delays and one clean and modern.
Type picks the voicing: adm for snappy, percussive early-'80s repeats, 12 bit for darker, warmer mid-'80s ones, and 24/96 for clean, high-resolution repeats. Mod adds light or deep modulation. Time sets Delay 1 from 20 milliseconds to 1.6 seconds, or tap it in, and Time 2 sets the rhythm of Delay 2 against it: triplet, eighth, golden ratio, dotted eighth or dotted quarter. Hold Tap and the repeats keep cycling until you let go. Hold both footswitches and turn a knob for the second functions, including series, ping pong or parallel routing, a free-running Delay 2 and a filter on the repeats. It has stereo outputs and an expression jack, bypass is true bypass by relay or buffered with trails, and it runs on 9 volts DC, center negative, at least 250 mA.
