A Boss DM-2W Delay, Waza Craft, made in Japan. An all-analog bucket-brigade delay, the 1984 DM-2 reissued with two modes: Standard, the original sound with its 20 to 300 ms range, and Custom, a cleaner analog tone with up to 800 ms. Repeat rate, intensity and echo knobs, a direct out so the dry and delayed signals can go to separate amps, and a TRS rate jack for an expression pedal. Mono in, on a 9V battery or a PSA adapter.
Bucket-brigade delay is the warm, darkening repeat that digital delays imitate, and the DM-2 was the pedal that defined it. Standard mode is that pedal. Custom mode is the same chip run cleaner and longer, for players who want the analog character with a usable dotted-eighth.
