Description
The Martin D-X2E in Brazilian rosewood pattern is the X Series Dreadnought that pairs durable HPL construction with the comfort upgrades Martin rolled into the 2024 X Series Remastered refresh. Satin spruce top, Brazilian rosewood-pattern HPL back and sides, select hardwood neck with the PA Profile and High-Performance Taper, 1-3/4" nut, 25.4" scale, select hardwood fingerboard with style 28 faux abalone pattern inlays, scalloped X-bracing, Martin E1 electronics with built-in chromatic tuner.
Playability upgrades versus the older X Series include a thinner fingerboard with a gently beveled comfort edge, refined string spacing, and a modernized bridge contour. The Dreadnought delivers loud, projective tone with strong bass, at home in traditional bluegrass or modern singer-songwriter work. HPL back and sides shrug off the humidity swings that would damage solid-wood guitars, which makes this the one for road work and for players who don't want to babysit a guitar.
Brazilian rosewood pattern HPL, not actual Brazilian rosewood. The pattern emulates the look without the export restrictions or the sticker shock. New from Martin. Comes with the softshell case.
