The GE-7 is a seven-band graphic EQ in a Boss compact pedal. Each slider boosts or cuts 15 dB at its band: 100, 200, 400 and 800 Hz, then 1.6, 3.2 and 6.4 kHz, frequencies chosen for guitar.
It's the pedal for pulling down the one frequency that's feeding back, or for reshaping what a distortion pedal sends to the amp. The sliders show the curve you've set right on the faceplate. An eighth slider sets the overall level against your bypassed sound. Buffered bypass, and it runs on a 9V battery or a Boss PSA adaptor at 30 mA.

Questions
Does it run on a battery?
Yes. A 9V battery comes in the box, good for about 19.5 hours on an alkaline, and it also takes a Boss PSA series adaptor, sold separately. It draws 30 mA.
What do the sliders do?
Seven sliders boost or cut up to 15 dB at 100 Hz through 6.4 kHz. The Level slider sets the overall volume over the same range, so the pedal can match your bypassed level or work as a clean boost.
Is it true bypass?
No, the GE-7 uses buffered bypass. Input and output are standard 1/4-inch jacks, with a DC jack for the adaptor.
