The DS-2 is the DS-1's 1987 follow-on with two distortions on a switch, and the remote jack is what makes it usable on stage: Turbo I is the rhythm sound, midrange-focused with more low end, and it cleans up with the guitar's volume; Turbo II is the lead switch, a harmonically richer distortion with a mid boost that pushes a solo forward without touching the amp.
Distortion, tone and level knobs, a remote jack for an optional external footswitch to change Turbo mode hands-free, mono 1/4 inch in and out, buffered bypass, 15 mA on a 9V battery or a PSA adapter.
New from Boss. Comes with a 9V battery; the PSA adapter and the remote footswitch are sold separately.
