Straploks

A Straplok is a retainer through each end of the strap that locks onto a matching button on the guitar and can't come off until it's released by hand. Dunlop makes two patterns that don't mix. The Traditional set is the original, and converts one strap and one guitar. The Dual Design button sets, in nickel or black, replace a guitar's stock buttons with a wide-flange button that holds a plain strap tighter and takes the Dual Design retainers, sold separately. Ten minutes with a screwdriver, or we'll do it for $39.

We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 1902 shirt mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.

The Drive

Warrensburg is the middle of Warren County, a one-main-street town where the Schroon comes into the Hudson, with the Northway on its east side and the park all around it.

About 20 minutes south on I-87, Exit 23 to Exit 18. Park in the Cooper Street lot at The Shirt Factory.
