From the Wall: D'Addario EXL160S Short Scale
The EXL160S puts D'Addario's medium 50-105 gauges on a short-scale set. D'Addario says the medium gauge has higher tension, for more low-end response and output, and its chart reads 39.2 lbs on the G, 43.3 on the D, 35.3 on the A and 29.6 on the E, heavier on every string than the 45-100 short set. Where We Are
We're on the second floor of The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls, one of the more interesting buildings in the region. It's a converted 1902 shirt mill that's become a hub for artists, makers, craftspeople, and independent businesses. Painters, photographers, woodworkers, jewelers, and now a guitar shop. The building has a creative energy that fits what we do. Use the Cooper Street entrance and take the stairs up. If stairs are difficult or you're bringing in something you don't want to carry up, call or text us and we'll arrange access.
Restrings and Setups
A bass restring is $25 plus the strings. Strings and parts are always extra, and you're welcome to bring your own. Service is first come, first served. Need it back by a certain date? Let us know at drop-off and we'll do our best to accommodate. A standard setup is $79 and a deluxe setup is $109, for electric, acoustic, or bass, strings extra.
