This is the most under-bought category in the shop and the one that prevents the most expensive repairs. Upstate winters run indoor humidity into the twenties. An acoustic held there long enough gets a sunken top, sharp fret ends, and eventually a crack that costs far more than a $20 humidifier.
Put a hygrometer in the case first, so you know what you are actually dealing with, and aim to keep it between 45 and 55 percent.
