This is the Fulltone OCD V2, the Obsessive Compulsive Drive, and the label on the bottom reads Built in California, from Fulltone Musical Products in Culver City. The OCD overdrives a JFET op amp and then hard-clips with a pair of MOSFETs, and it cleans up when you turn the guitar's volume down. The V2 added a Class A JFET input at 1 megohm, up from 330K, a buffered output, and an internal switch that picks true bypass or Fulltone's Enhanced Bypass.
Volume, Drive and Tone are on top with the HP/LP switch. HP, for High Peak, adds distortion, volume and a little midrange between 1 and 2 kHz for a British sound, and LP, for Low Peak, stays close to the guitar and amp with very little coloration. Tone only works on the highs and sits about neutral at 12 o'clock. The input is on the right side, and the output and the power jack are on the left. It runs on a 9-volt battery or a 9 to 18 volt DC adapter, center negative, and the four thumbscrews on the sides open the case for the battery.
