An Eastman electric came in for a setup and a loose output jack.
What Came In
An Eastman electric. It needed a setup and the output jack had worked loose.
What We Found
The jack was loose and needed tightening. Beyond that the guitar was in good shape, needing only minimal work to the truss rod, intonation, and pickup height.
What We Did
Tightened the jack and confirmed it worked. Made small adjustments to the truss rod and intonation, then set the pickups to the right height. About 40 minutes on the bench.
Result
A nice guitar that needed only minor work to play just right.
Worth Knowing
A loose output jack is among the most common things we see, and it is worth tightening before it strips the wiring or drops into the guitar. Catching it early is a two minute job.
When a guitar comes in already close to spec like this one, a setup is mostly fine tuning, relief, intonation, and pickup height, rather than a full correction. Well-built instruments hold their setup longer and need less to get right.
Bring It In
Got a jack crackling or going loose? Bring it in. Standard setup is $79 and we'll get it back in your hands as soon as possible.
