Description
The Custom Telecaster is the bound-body Tele Fender built from 1959 to 1972, and the double binding is the whole point of the model.
Vintera III is Fender's current run at period-correct reissues, and this one is built to early '60s spec rather than a modern guitar wearing a vintage finish: an Early '60s "C" maple neck, round-laminated rosewood fingerboard with clay dot inlays, 7.25 inch radius, 21 vintage tall frets, 25.5 inch scale, bone nut at 1.650 inches. Two vintage-style 1963 single-coil Telecaster pickups run into master volume and master tone, over a 3-saddle vintage bridge with threaded steel saddles.
The 7.25 inch radius and those threaded saddles are what make it feel old. Where a modern Tele flattens the board out for bending, this one keeps the vintage curve and the chime that comes with it.
3-Color Sunburst over alder, 3-ply mint green pickguard. New from Fender. Comes with the deluxe gig bag.
