The Martin 00-X2E Cocobolo is the compact body in the X Series: 00-shape parlor-sized acoustic-electric, smaller than a dreadnought and built for fingerstyle, couch practice, and travel-ready gigging. Hand-rubbed satin Sitka spruce top over cocobolo-pattern high-pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides, elegant abalone-pattern rosette, select hardwood neck with comfort-beveled fingerboard, refined string spacing, Martin E1 electronics with built-in chromatic tuner and volume/tone/phase controls.
The solid spruce top gives the 00-X2E real Martin tone — clear, balanced, more responsive under fingerstyle than the all-HPL X1 series, while the HPL back and sides shrug off the climate swings that would crack a solid-wood guitar. The 00 body fits where a dreadnought doesn't: a tour van back seat, a small apartment, a writing nook.
