The Martin D-X1E Mahogany is the dreadnought version of the X Series: full-size body, full-size voice, in a guitar built to take a beating. Mahogany-pattern high-pressure laminate (HPL) top, back, and sides for stage-rugged durability without the price of solid wood. The full Martin dreadnought shape gives it the bass and projection of the D-18 it shares a finish color with, in a guitar you don't have to baby. Select hardwood neck with a comfort-beveled fingerboard, modernized bridge contour, refined string spacing, Martin E1 electronics with built-in chromatic tuner and volume/tone/phase controls.
HPL construction means temperature and humidity changes don't move it — the D-X1E sits on a stage all night without an environmental safety net. The honest gigging Martin: real shape, real electronics, real durability.
