Reverb's catalog puts the original at 1976 to 1984, made in the United States. It plugs straight into the wall: the power cord is wired in at the back and ends in a two-prong plug, and there's no LED. The Flanger Dunlop makes today under the MXR name runs on 18 volts and has an LED.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe knobs are the same four Dunlop still puts on it. Dunlop's manual says the Manual knob moves the effect toward the higher or lower frequencies, Speed sets how fast it sweeps, Width sets how much, and Regen sets the intensity of the whole effect. With Width all the way down the sweep stops, and Manual places the effect anywhere along the frequency range. Dunlop says it covers jet plane and space sounds down to short delay, chorus and vibrato.
